About
Founded by Ivan Chan, Justin Lau, and Aine Tung, our studio is an architectural and research practice dedicated to exploring the intersections of narrative, object, and construct. We see architecture not merely as the act of building, but as a medium for storytelling, a tool for critical inquiry, and a field for material and spatial experimentation.

Our name, Noct, derives from the Latin word for "night." While the day brings clarity and light, it is the night that invites dreaming and imagination. We are drawn to the poetics of the nocturnal—where wonder, and possibility open new ways of thinking and making.

Our work sits at the intersection of design, research, and pedagogy. We investigate how spatial narratives shape human experience and cultural memory, treating architecture as a process of constructing meaning. In our practice, objects—both physical and conceptual—become vessels for dialogue, reinterpretation, and deeper engagement with the world around us.
